At last the government is behaving more responsibly by announcing that completed train stations will not remain close .
Evey one in Singapore remembers the decision about Potong Pasir MRT decision when it was completed. Reasons were given which the public at large did not buy at all.
It was a childish act and remains a black mark in Singapore history.
Isn't it time to apply the same approach for Woodleigh? SBS Transit can also stop giving excuses. How much dent to the bottom line between opening now and when the American sch is ready? SBS has grossly underestimated the profits it will make from the NE line. Are they so sure abt the "loss" they will incur from opening Woodleigh now?
the_ultimate,
you're right..woodleigh station dun serve anybody because IT IS CLOSED. Bare patch of land? Think you got your location wrong or you have not been to woodleigh for a long long time.
Wait till you see the Bukit Brown station on the Circle Line, which SMRT has announced will remain closed, since the only amenity around it is the Kopi-Sua Cemetery.
