SINGAPORE has made great strides in equalising opportunities for women in the workforce, but the challenge lies in striking a balance between family and career, said Senior Minister of State Grace Fu.
Women are a special breed. When they are young, they submit. In teenage years, they learn. In their adult life, they learn to dominate and in the later years, the women folks are supreme and demand all they can like in the Women Charter is one for them.
Women's dilemma:
On the one hand, SG women have unrealistic, impractical and unsurmountable high expectations of their partners. Thier priority is career over marriage. If marry, they would rather marry Angmohs, not Asians.
On the other hand, sad to say, I heard from some Asian(not PRC) SPRs, SG women have a bad reputation of arrogant, materialistic and irrespectful. So, to marry SG women is out of the question. They would rather marry one from their own country.
It's true that working women need alot of support, not just from their employer but also their husbands, maids/caregivers, parents etc.
Of course we should put our family first. This is so much more rewarding. But we also need to work for the money. Cost of living is too high for one person to support.
There are also no guarantees in life. I cherish the financial independence and peace of mind that comes with it.
The twin halves of men are holding up half the sky" but these parts are not alike like the complementary Ying and Yang a principle reflected in the Quranic "We have created everything in pairs"
It is because of their being complementary opposites, that marriage of the two will provide whatever is necessary to bring out the love between the two , one that fades away by sheer routine, boredom until their children are born , then again the cycle of routine and boredom until grandchildren are born, flowers of innocence that only demented humans, pathological ones cant appreciate.
God created out of love and human love is an imperfect albeit closest reflection of the divine love. What Freud , Marx, Adler, MacDougall, Maslow could not understand completely is that the search for Divine Love is that vacuum that the human psyche is searching for.He must have had a taste of it else why should he be searching for the Perfection of that love.
These sentiments are not just poetical because the mystery of our imaginal world is based on the greatest attraction of all namely Divine Love
This must be appreciated because all his worldly fulfilments are a bubble which bursts eventually for beyond Moneytheism (S.Rajaratnam) what can .enthuse a human being. A human being is the isthmus between the Divine Lover and the Universe.
"I was a Hidden Treasure
I longed to be loved
So I created the human"
