Time for laws against inconsiderate coughing or sneezing in public

THE Government keeps reminding people who are showing flu-like symptoms to wear face masks and cover their mouths and noses when coughing or sneezing. But people here are clearly not doing that.
Yes you are paranoid. And I am being polite about it.
And you are totally ridiculous. And I am being polite about it.
Scene in court: "The defendant is accused of sneezing deliberately and irresponsibly along XXX Road on said date and stated time. Do you plead guilty to this charge?"
To repeat the yogil80 earlier post
"Is this joke"?
Then, breaking wind at the the hawker stalls could be a caning offence!
There needs to be softer seating to absorb the noise, although I suppose the noise is a fore warning of the smell.
Consider putting on a mask in public if the sick do not. No amount of education is able to change habits of people in not covering their mouth or nose when coughing or sneezing. It is common to see such acts in public places and people are known to fall sick because of others' inconsiderate behaviour.
Years of been subjected to “Quick Fix” approaches in Governing has impact on our society whether we like it or not…including generating people who wants 'quick fix' instead of solving the issue at its roots... a sad victim and by-product of our system!
Can all behavioral issues be address by law? Are we treating the symptom instead of the cause? Do we need a law to address each symptom? or would it be more efficient to deal with the cause?
I am nominating this letter for The Golden Donkey Award, who else is with me?.... Alot of hee haw... hee haw... he sneeze hor... he cough hor...never cover his mouth hor...
I fully support the letter-writer!
I further propose that those who write silly letters to the forum be placed in the stocks for an hour and pelted with rotten vegetables, to be supplied by the government!
By law!
very soon people will suggest laws to punish those who:
do not stand on the left of escalators
do not clear the tables after eating at self-service foodcourts or restaurants
take their sweet time when using ATMs
