GST cut should be avoided as it provides ammunition for future recession battles. more consideration should be given on cost still hinging on good times.

i think wat Mr Inderjit Singh trying to say is : reduce maid levy will help maid employers, hence free up some cashflow , therefore this extra cash could be pumped into other segments of the economy ??????????

Fat hopes lah. The government has spoken and acted. End of story. The rest just a wayang show. Be assured that Minister Tharman will end the debates by reiterating the government stand and do no more. Standard practice. But it does give the MPs a good platform to impress their constituents.

How is it - during the Budget debate ..... no MPs dare stand up and said "cut my monthly MP allowance or freeze Minister's pay packet" till Singapore economy improve ...... instead of suggesting this and that ...... I am aware a bit of "cutting" this and that might help to alleivate the economy ........

What do you think? - is it a good suggestion!!!

Cut all these?

How will the government "recover" the money "withdrawn" from past reserves and the great loss in investments?

You Should Say Stop Privatising Lah. Simple Once You Privatise You Cannot Have Full Control Mah Then Singaporean Die Lah. Money Kena Dig Away.
