Pretty women likely to cheat
January 15, 2009 Thursday, 10:13 PM

WOMEN with high levels of a key sex hormone look and feel prettier, and could be more prone to cheating on their partners, says a study done by a researcher currently teaching at Singapore Management University (SMU).
The sex hormone in the study, oestradiol, is a form of oestrogen which has been linked to greater fertility. For instance, women dress more provocatively when oestrogen levels are highest, near ovulation when they are most fertile, said Dr Norman Li, a co-author of the study.

Note that the study never mentioned anything to compare the cheating cases over the centuries between men and women.

Oh how very unbiased.

Prettier women are more likely to cheat? That's stating the obvious. Uglier women may find it harder to find someone to cheat with, don't you agree? It's like Wong Kan Seng stating that Mas Selamat is either still in S'pore, or he is not; he is stating the obvious.

My spouse worries everyday he will be made a cuckold.

He checks my SMS, my PMs, my emails, even my forum postings.

Today he says he wants to get me a GPS tracking device.

Haiz. I feel trapped. I have no freedom.

This type of research can make news headline only shows we do not have any other more noteworthy researches! Secondly, ST left out the most 2 crucial info:
- Who funded this research?
- What is the recommendation or what will the findings contribute to?

If funding can be given to such a research, why not fund research into "Why more Singaporeans are remaining single?" (assuming my own little statistics is true which itself needs researching). Interesting question can be is it because they are not attractive enough? The findings are important because we need more babies!

Eagle2004,

Likewise for good looking macho men. Similar research will accrue it to high testosterone level. What a waste of funds!

OrdinaryFolks

I recall a classic 'waste of public funds' experiment 2 decades ago done in Canada, where the researchers concluded, after losing several sheep, that ravenous wolves (in controlled experiments on a farm) preferred sheep whose wool was generously sprinkled with spices, compared to those who were offered to the carnivores without any seasoning!
