Terror has no religion, race or colour
January 14, 2009 Wednesday, 06:03 AM

A WAVE of disgust swept over me as I read excerpts from the telephone conversations between the coordinators of the Mumbai terrorist attacks and the gunmen. I wonder how the perpetrators would have felt if it had been their parents, spouses, or children in place of those innocent people, whose only fault was being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Tell that to Dr M, who promotes criminalising all wars.

But also ask him what he meant by " destroy Zionism at all cost"?

A soul and heart that are filled with disdain and hatreds for others [Zionism included], to destroy at all cost, o not qualify to talk and promote World Peace or promote 'criminalising all wars".

It is humbug.

Must also remind all that the legacy of pacifism by Gandhi endures and lasts because of its message of peace and non-violence.

Terrorism will capture headlines but leaves no lasting positive contribution to mankind.

You are totally wrong when you say 'terror has no religion'. It has religion. Did not you follow the Mumbai terror attakcs recently? The terrorists said 'dont attack Muslims', kill non-Muslims, kill Jews, kill Americans, Britishers, etc. Terrorists all claim 'with the will of Allah I will kill non-Muslims'. So dont say terrorism has no religion. It is there for everyone to see. Take terrorism happening all over the world; it will lead to Pakistan and Islam.

Take for instance, today's news on Changi Airport Plan attack, religion is involved again

"The terror suspect, who escaped Singapore's security dragnet in 2001, however, remained unremorseful about his alleged involvement in terrorism.

'What I was trying to do was to defend Islam and Muslims,' he told The Straits Times".

Throughout the history of mankind, we can find that man has fought many wars, over numerous centuries because of religion, race and colour. So, this type of conflicts will not end anytime soon. Not in my lifetime for sure.

As a person who holds no religion, it does disturb me to see such hates display by some Muslims in support of the terrorists’ acts…
I did recall my anguish and shock when I witness the 911 incident where innocence lives are lost by terrorist acts… in the aftermath of the tragedy what disgust me most are the streets celebrations demonstrated by a large numbers in the Muslims worlds although with some condemnations by other Muslims leaders and Muslims in the regions.

I did recall how the many indonesians celebrates on the streets when the Twin towers crumbles down in 911… publicly they endorse their hero Osama Bin Laden…
There were even sales of Osama Bin Laden T-shirts widely available!!!!

None goes out in group march and protest against the terrorists and wants Osama and his group dead??? The same goes for the terrorist acts at Mumbai! There were mere condemnations by Muslim leaders and Muslims… none rejected the Terrorists as not Muslim except for some muslim in Mumbai which I must applause.

I must applause the Muslim in Mumbai for refusing the nine dead terrorists from been buried at the Muslim grave site and for his stand that those terrorists are not Muslims for those heinous acts they carried out in the name of Islam. (See below)
Link http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle5267860.ece
“A Muslim graveyard in the heart of Mumbai has broken with Islamic tradition and refused to bury the bodies of nine terrorists who were killed during the attack on India's financial capital.”
“The influential Muslim Jama Masjid Trust, which runs the 7.5-acre Badakabrastan graveyard, said it would not bury the gunmen because they were not true followers of Islam.”
“Hanif Nalkhande, a spokesman for the trust, said: People who committed this heinous crime cannot be called Muslim. Islam does not permit this sort of barbaric crime.”

Then comes the Palestinians-Israeli conflict, where we see mass road marches in protests by the Muslim world… with some attacking US shops, KFCs which had in no way contributed to the sufferings of the Palestinians nor Israeli attacks on Gaza!!! These shops are providing employment to them as well as contributing to their economy in their countries… There were requests for Muslims world wide to boycott US products.

I’ve no intention to justify the Israel killings in this war… I’m tired of the Islamic world reactions on Israel while remain silent on Hamas challenge on Israel by their rocket attacks which to me can be consider an act of war against Israel. Israel does have a right to defense itself in face of the act of war declare against them.
Hamas did represent the control in Gaza and had thus committed all Palestinians in Gaza to War against Israel, it is regrettable that in face of a war, Hamas choose to dress themselves as civilians and hid behind his civilian populations.
The actions of just condemning Israel and remain silent on Hamas does reinforce that the Palestinians-Israeli conflict are not just territorial issues but a religious war too which has reflect clearly in the historical records which some has name it as “Holy war against Jews”.
We can see it quite clearly! And it is noted that the Pro Israeli caused people did not celebrate! This are the sentiments that many of us felt from the feedback I gets from others. Just look at indonesia, malaysia etc….

As a person who had holds no religion, it does disturb me to see such hates displayed.
I do believe one can choose personal views without having to embrace hate!
I do not hate Israeli nor Palestinians, I wish for them to achieve real peace and co-existence! I’m all for Two-State solution.

I applause the statement made by UN Secretary-General Mr Ban Ki Moon, “To BOTH sides”… “Just stop now!”… “Too many people have died”

It take both hands to clap, in order to achieve the real peace… acceptance of co-existence must previals from both sides.
I look forward to see permanent peaceful solutions through peaceful negotiations to solve this conflict… not embracing hate must be the first step towards peace.

I must say I’m proud of Singaporean Muslims who does not retort to such hates.
