Yes, Deco has not been playing to the level that we know he can. Not sure why Scolari keep playing him when he has alot of other world class player warming the bench. Mourinho will not hesitate to make 3 changes at half time though when he see something is not right.

Ballack, with his German hardiness, is a more reliable player than the one is a Deco

However, I am inclined to believe that he has become a victim of his own high standards, as any small signs of slowing down & perceived loss of form is interpreted as evidence that his powers are on the wane.
