The increasing rebelliousness against authorities, both religious and non-religious, are signs of what had already been written two thousand years ago: "Every man does what is right in his own eyes."

Yoga.

Does it benefit the self [the practitioner] or does it benefit others [society]?

Does the benefit last 24/7 if it is stopped more than 12 hours?

Does it benefit the soul or does it only benefit the mind and the physical body of the practitioner?

Discern spiritually.

The increasing inane directives, mostly religious, are signs that what is written two thousand years ago is maybe, exactly two thousand years out of date.

Many religious guidelines written over two thousand years or more ago are still valid today. Those who say they are out of date in essence have nothing new to contribute other than ranting against them.

Many parts of what were written a few thousand years or a few centuries ago have to be updated in this 21st century [for it to be applicable and relevant], some call it the modern age of super speed in all aspects of human lives, in fast communication, transport, medical and general sciences, education, laws, way of life, including scientific findings, eg. molecule, atom, DNA, etc.

History has to be re-written in most parts [what were written and believed a few centuries ago] and updated for it to be relevant in the 21st century and beyond.

However, basic Divine Laws [nothing to do with beliefs or religions] for all living things cannot be altered, cannot be changed or modified by man.

It is beyond the ability of man to do so [to change it]. eg. gravity on earth, same amount of air we breathe, water that we must drink, food that we must eat, sleep that we must have, wash and be clean that we have to do, walk on two legs and not on fours, cut the umbilical cord for all humanbeing, use of the unseen electronic waves by all to communicate, etc. etc.

Fixed, not alterable. It is not fixed by man.

Right. Do not lie, do not steal, do not commit adultery, do not sodomise and so on. It is not fixed by man but by God. It is natural that those who are bent on breaking any would have had an issue and will continually rant against it.
