November 04, 2008 Tuesday, 09:13 AM

THE major religious groups here - with the probable exception of the Hindus - are likely to share the Catholic Church's stance against euthanasi

Why don't we form a "National Federation of Free Thinkers (NFFT)" for those who are not religiously binded that support euthanasia???

What's stopping you? It costs $20 to register one?

Might want to get some kakis to go with you.

Can we register 'religion'? I mean a religious non-religion?
Best if we can combine atheism and agnosticism. I also want at least one annual holiday to celebrate the non-religion... wonder what we should call the day.

Because the Belief is that there is no God or something, it means no afterlife. That means the holiday will be about living life to the fullest... the main activity (ie. Christmas is gifts, Deepavali is lighting candles, etc) should be.. shopping? Buying that something for yourself you always wanted. We always have a 'big' purchase in mind, and that would be the time to realised it, if financially possible. If not, just indulge yourself in spa, or something.

Skinners,

Exactly what I feel. I think those religious leaders, they got problem. They still living by some ancient text which they declare is the most holy thing and must follow to the dot.

Come to think of it, how come they have not declared what their holy books say about internet, facebook, flying on a jet plane, etc. Because these blady holy book are too ancient lah!

Last time, when the gahmen legalised abortion, they also 'kau peh kau bu' (cry father, cry mother). Now they are doing the same thing.

I think the gahmen must also be fair to free thinkers and declare a public holiday for free thinkers. Christian got Christmas, Hindus got Deepavali, etc, how come there is no Free Thinker's Day when many surveys point to us being a far mroe significant percentage than many of the religions the gahmen recognises?

We certainly won't give stupid civil troubles by insting on adhering to all kinds of believes and strange practices. Support us! We make good citizens. We only want to have time to lim kopi and buy 4D.

For many things, the gahmen may come to rely on free thinkers to be a counter-force and for support. I thknk it should start trying to help free thinkers gather strength.

We got no problem with sticky things like euthanesia and abortion. We are very practical people who don't care two f*** about what the holy book says.

But not so amused as to wonder what my country has become. There's no need for so much seediness and slime to be a hip and happening place, right?
I was a free thinker who really think freely. Until i meet the TRuth, Way and Life.
http://theinnozablog.blogspot.com is sample of freer thinkers club.

Other than those religious holidays, are not the rest of the year free-thinker days? You're dumb or what?

Ordinary People

Going by your reasoning, if you go to Geylang, other than those better looking and sexier prostitutes which have all been booked in advance , you can have the rest!
