Catholics are not allowed to have abortion unless due to medical reasons. Contraception is the best. If not Sg will be like Philippines with lots of babies running around.

See if still embrace your suffering when you vomit up faeces from your mouth in the final stages of colon cancer.

Live with a pure heart, make decisions with a pure heart, let God decide if it's right or wrong after that. Self righteous man made rules including that of Catholic church don't matter.

Im a catholic and if Im terminally ill and messy (uncontrollable bowel etc), I will choose to call it a day for myself... Why let yourself and your family suffers when you know thats no hope for you? Why let your family suffers financially and some even end up borrow from ah long just to supports your treatments? I know i might not go to heaven if I choose to terminate my life, but I will rather go to hell than seeing my family suffers (emotionally & financially) as a result of my illness...

Alhough I agree that life and death shouldn't be decided upon by man but I think that it is too sweeping a statement for the bishop to describe euthanasia as immoral. His comments and statements appear detached and uncompassionate. It seems that he hasn't had a loved one who has suffered and who is undergoing tremendous pain. Until he has had such an experience, and his conviction remains, then can he be credible. I believe that changes to the Advanced Medical Directive is good. Prolonging the suffering of a terminally-ill patient through machines does not add to his quality of life. The government is taking a right step forward if the AMD is amended.

Earth is just a small little particle in this universe. With or without the human race, life still goes on.

Isn't it equally immoral to be so lacking in compassion and empathy for those truly suffering from constant pain and discomfort from terminal illness?
