STUCK in a taxi queue that is hardly movin

With the current economic situation and the price of taxi fare, the queues will soon go the other way - taxis waiting for people.

i see another round of fare hike coming soon - to recover the cost of installation.

anyway, #2 is right. the problem will solve by itself under such ecomomy.

A CCTV will only make taxis go to hide in that area, waiting for the desperate to finally make the call to book them instead.

Taxi commutors in a queue at a stand with CCTV would probably not
want to make a booking, knowing that soon taxis would be heading
their way, unless of course if they are in big hurry.

Cabbies would usually head to where the demand is rather than wait
aimlessly with fuel running at empty taxi stand. Time is money and it
would be foolish for cabbies to hide and wait for booking when other
cabbies are rushing and busily picking up fares at the stands.

CCTV will help to direct the supply to where the demand is.

What is this all about ? Got no idea.

Never heard this type of complain at the changi air terminal, 1, 2 and 3.

cabbyshe - taxi drivers, after dropping their passengers at changi airport, they prefer to wait for passengers instead of leaving with a empty cabin, right? therefore, the situation is reverse at changi airport - taxi waiting for people.

The BEST way to cut taxi stand queues is to scrap the antiquated, archaic and irrelevant CALL BOOKING FEE. How many times must I say this?

If no call booking fee, everybody will call for fun nei!
