Shame and sham. I am at a loss for words that such haphazard university can be allowed to register and accept students. Universities have lost their potency as in love nowadays because it is very loosely use. What is the point of having a degree in which is worthless and you dare not even use? I am sure "graduands" of WCU will feel that the pale in comparison. Anyway my congratulations on your "convocation".

Thanks to Sandra Davie and now Cassandra Chew for constantly bringing awareness to the Public about such worthless degree and education provided by unscrupulous private institution here. I am sure their efforts are much appreciated by most Singaporean and Overseas students studying in Singapore.

Quote…....“At least 218 people here have been found with degrees from dubious universities such as Preston, Wisconsin International and Kennedy-Western (and a lot more!.....)
Business owners make up one of three groups here who have degrees from unaccredited institutions and degree mills. For many of them, an honorary PhD has become a must-have symbol of success.” (Honorary no different from Geylang University PhD)

We often see fake PhD names in the News (in mass media like Straits Times and Today). To make a very strong point, mass media especially the Straits Times should take the lead to refrain, screen and then removed those fake PhD in their story and report. Such people though successful in their businesses do not have honour and credibility (misleading the Public) and self-respect (bluffing themselves) in the first place, so why use their dubious 'Dr.' title in the Print?

So, Editors of mass media please take note otherwise both Sandra and Cassandra efforts are wasted. Their journalism is of great contribution to Public Service. What a refreshing change to journalism here in Singapore, well done!

Is it a criminal offence to use degrees from unaccredited university? Does it amount to fasification of qualification? Also, is it a criminal offence to offer degree courses from unaccredited university? Isn't it a case of misrepresentation and fraud? I pity those who spent large amount of money and time to complete a worthless degree. Some are misled and we should hold those offering such course responsible.

It's sad to see what SG has become. All talked about status and money. Really sad, even Monk, who surpose to denounce all material gains need to resort to getting a uncredited PhD. Sad.

if it's an offence to use such degrees, then why is the 'university' supplying the degree still legal? i mean, there is no action from any authority to shut them down. Another case of Buyer Beware?
