#29 singaporean men wake up lah! don't expect singaporean girls to go on their knees and serve you. get rid of your inferiority complex, your pride and your arrogance. singaporean men need to understand the modern singaporean girls to love them,to adore them and to be life partners. stop whining and whining. improve yourself.improve your etiquette.improve your manners. treat the girls like ladies. you'll be rewarded.

Men who escort their girlfriends home actually can't bear to part with them. Don't they want to spend every minute with the GFs?

But when your pockets are running dry and they want you to buy and that, I can't get rid of them fast enough.

Easy come easy go!

This poor chap must have been dumped by many S'pore women before and is now trying to show off to the world that he is in fact worthy of a graduate wife.

He especially stressed that his wife is an "university graduate with a top-notch acedemic record" leh! Any of his Xs out there??? Must buy durian to hammer your chests?

kampongkid: the general stereotype is that SG men who marry foreign brides marry women from lesser educational and social background. So the writer is dispelling this stereotype.

Foreign women, educated or otherwise, marry Singapore women for the main reason of getting that red passport. Whether they like the man or not is secondary. For that, it is dangerous for Singapore men to marry them.

But, Singapore women, educated or otherwise, can live quite comfortably without getting married. They are economically independent. Hence, they get married most likely because they like the man. This is important to keep the partners together after the romantic part has worn out, probably after abt 7 years of marriage. I am speaking from experience.

I do not know any grown up foreign woman well. But I have close contact with a few female teenagers from China. They were born after the 'one-child policy' came into being. I find them too pampered and well-protected to make good wives. Both parents' attention is focussed on them and their parents have very high expectations of their daughters. It is not easy to be their sons-in-law too. Hence, younger Singapore men should refrain having them in mind as prospective wives.

My sons are too young to be on the look-out now. But I have still given them that advice and keep my fingers crossed that my wish will come true. That they will marry Singapore girls.
