I REFER to Tuesday's column, 'Workers are human, too' by Ms Lydia Lim, and the report, 'Former school site up for tender in Bukit Timah'.

yes. in Queen Astrid Park, Holland Road, 6th Ave, Orchard, River Valley - let's integrate. the official policy cannot have double standards - we love foreign talents, welcom foreign workers - so we must live side my side with them not house them like prisoners with onerous rules in prison dorms like in Serangoon Gardens.

I am clueless as to why this idiotic govt wanted to let so many so many foreign workers here knowing fully well that Sg does not has enough space to accomodate them. More or less it will pose a security threat and uneasiness amomgst the neighbours. Why not house them at the sprawling grounds of Istana?

This frustrated fellow must be a serangoon garden resident. Now that it is certain that the workers' dormitory will be set up there, this guy suggests that workers should be spread everywhere nationwide. He wants every other singaporean to be affected just because he is affected. he must be deeply frustrated in life. Dont commit suicide..

the real litmus test is whether MBT will put one near his house. If he does that, then it shows that the ministers are unbiased. Else, all they do is shove the problem to constituencies tt hav record of voting against them and the common heartland folks. Where do u live, mbt ?

Like the ERP, which shifts traffic jams from 1 stretch of road to another, but never solves the problem, putting FWs elsewhere just shifts the problem from Serangoon Gardens to some other estate/neighbourhood. In that regard, spreading them out in smaller groups makes sense. There is nothing so intimidating as seeing large groups of men gathered together right outside one's doorstep - especially after dark.

Should have held back decision to go ahead with Sgarden dorm; and release all the other sites together.

If these sites are well spread out, then there should be minimal protests. Maybe can save the $2million on slip roads.
