What's wrong? Better than inviting some religious nut to espouse the virtues of "saving" yourself for marriage!

the problem is people who have the power to make decisions is so out of sync and thick with their own wisdom - they fail to glean the nuggets of wisdom and feedback sprinkled all the the internet. If only they had read online citizen comments or even asiaone forum to get a thermostat of the country's pulse instead of dismissing them as vocal minority.
elites live in ivory towers and out of frequency with the reactions and responses of the peasants - so they prescribe western `experts' to teach out asian youths about love, sex and marriage.

Anthony Yeo is an established authority...just look at his work and results. I totally agree with him in this case. Why get an 'ang mo' who has been divorced thrice to speak on a subject she cannot even practise? As if there are no local speakers who can speak authoritatively on this issue.

And #4 - the 'religious nut' you so despise is what keeps society intact. Look at the western world today, those who espouse personal freedom, liberty and free sex...see where they are today. Their families are broken and societies have disintegrated (because they were so enlightened).

Here's a different thought. Why should taxpayer monies be used to support the SDU in paying for any "love consultants" This really is taking the concept of a nanny state to its highest level.

maybe it doesn't matter if marriages end in divorce, as long as children are produced? lol

It is proved that singaporeans are good for nothing fellows. Even for lecturing on love, married life, etc they are not capable. You fellas must depend on foreigners.
