Keep the INTEGRITY spirit flying high (if possible, higher) for the world to see, that we Singaporeans can achieve when we are together as One Singapore Heartbeat in One Tune of Majulah Singapore.

Well done to all rafflesians worldwide! We can grow Healthier and enrich others too http://theinnozablog.blogspot.com

I am happy that this merger came through after such a long time. Well done Singapore Rafflesians!

yes, also merge all secondary schools that offer 6-year integrated programmes with respective JCs. in this way, resources can be effectively deployed.

When Stamford Raffles held the torch
That cast Promethean flame
We faced the challenge of the day
To give our school a name

The eagle eye & gryphon strength
They led us to the fore
To reign supreme in every sphere
The Sons of Singapore

Come heed the call Rafflesians all
And let our hearts be stirring
We’ll do our best whatever the test
& keep our colours flying

Let comradeship and fervent hope
With one voice make us pray
Auspicium Melioris Aevi
With God to guide the way

What the fish ... they tore RI apart in the early 1980s into RI & RJC, insisting that it must conform to some definition of secondary school (can only offer up to O-levels), junior college (can only offer 2-year 'A' level courses), or high school (can offer O-level and 3-year 'A' level courses) ...

And more than 20 years later, they are allowing RI & RJC to re-merge.

Left on their own, the pre-breakup RI would probably have embarked on its own IB program long ago. Instead, it got limited by MOE's directions.

It was because Eugene Wijeysingha realised that RI's potential was being stifled that he proposed RI going independent.

Sure, sure. Go ahead with the merger. And help produce an enlarged pool of snooty little #@#$%rds, like that MP Wee's daughter. Can have more of them telling the average Sgpreans to go and %$^k off in more euphemistic ways!

Note: RGS didn't opt to join the merger. Well done, RGS!

I assure you that not every product of RI or RJC behaves like Wee Shu Min - the daughter of MP WEE Siew Kim. Her uncalled for remarks, 2 years ago, about the average S'porean man in the street, who has to worry about jobs, stinks to high heaven. It shows clearly that MPs like her Dad, & their families truly live in a different world from common S'poreans because of their obscene salaries & special privileges.

Most Rafflesians have done S'pore proud. Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Minister for Law S Jayakumar, our 1st President Yusof Ishak, our 2nd President Benjamin Sheares, our 4th President Wee Kim Wee, our World War 2 hero Lim Bo Seng, Speaker of Parliament Abdullah Tarmugi, ex-Deputy PM S Rajaratnam, ex-Malaysian cabinet minister Tun Sardon Jubir are all Rafflesians. Buddhist Monk Shi Ming Yi is the only Rafflesian whom I am not proud of. Oh, I forgot about Wee Shu Min :)
