BANKS across the United States and Europe are being rescued, merged or shut down but Singapore's banks are still seen as rock solid in the wider community.

if our banks are not safe, many biscuit sellers will have good business - pple rushing to buy biscuit tins to put $$ in and hide under the bed.

keeping hard cash at home is not a bad idea for the timebeing. Afterall, placing deposit or fixed deposit don t really pay you good yield.

Interestingly, man has 7 years itch..........financial mkt has every decade itch..........1987/1997/2007(sub prime started)and generally the month of October is a jinx month for stock market.

Remember years ago the Tat Lee Bank??? If I didn't remember wrongly, Tat Lee Bank was bought over by OUB or UOB overnight because of financial difficulties...can some one advice on this.

Can banks be trusted totally???
