THE nightmare on Wall Street reached Singapore on Wednesday, with The Straits Times Index nosediving a sharp 6.6 per cent. But it seems not many Singaporeans are too concerned.

Don't worry till worry worries you. There is nothing to fear as far as the poor are concern. They are just hapless.

What is wrong with these people? Are they so bo chup or they think we are invincible? This crisis is one of the worst you could experience in your lifetime. The chain effect will hurt everyone of us. It is not about bonus or increment but your job as well. Can you keep your job in the next few months?

these people interviewed are all on drugs..they read and believe the government generated spoon fed lines...pay increments ??? what friggin planet are these people on...unemployment here will likley double over the next 12 months..Singapore is the shopfloor for global consumers and what are consumers gonna be doing...lickin their wounds and NOT spending you figure out the rest....

Singaporeans are not "bo chup"... its called "ignorance is bliss". They dont understand the consequences until its at their doorsteps.. like no bonus, no pay increment despite higher living costs, no job and higher mortage rates. Then they'll run to their nanny MPs for help!

Wait until kenna hit, then they realise what the stinking sh*ts are like :job loss; house loss; shares loss; restaurants, shopping malls and hotels very quiet; gloomy days ahead! Calm b4 a storm....

Temasek's losses just keep rising, now that they are not accepting BoA's share swap offer.

Has the crisis shaken them now? Will their attitude change for the betteR?
