IT IS a $2 million compromise that the Government has worked out to appease Serangoon Gardens residents unhappy over the foreign worker dormitory to come up in their neighbourhood.
As long as there are activities in our country, then we can survive, because these projects and other related projects stir our internal ecomonies and keep us Singaporeans and residents occupied with more rewarding work and friendships and interaction with more new faces too. Thank you, Government and people of Serangoon Garden for accommodating us foreigners in your hearts and beautiful country of Singapore. We will upkeep this City of Garden clean and safe for your children, and our future children too. Thanks for the dorms and the road too. We work hard for our miney and we spent thriftly too for better future together as One family in Singapore. Worker only.
Welcome all FTs,FWs,FDWs and so on. Our govt will do their utmost to keep you happy here. Money no problem la, we have lots of taxpayers to take care of the bill.
Ms Mabel Koh lamented that "none of the solutions tackled the basic concern". Sounds like what the LTA is doing with regards to the ERP gantries - shifting the traffic jams from one place to another whenever another gantry goes up, but never solving the traffic congestion.
Residents of Dwellers of Kingsgrove Condominium next to Ang Mo Kio Ave 1, Tai Hwan Terrace, Tai Hwan Grove, Tai Hwan Cres & Tai Hwan Drive have made the mistake of pointing out that AMK Ave 1 is already jammed during the morning peak hours, with motorists using it to avoid the ERP on the CTE. Now they have alerted the LTA to erect yet another gantry there!
