Why spend so much on a HDB product? Get a private condo and it comes with lots of freedom. The only attraction is the high floors. Then again what views are there for you to see? A view to your future is more important than anything else. I do not see one currently.

In terms of housing affordability, as measured by the multiple of the house price over a household's income (see www.demographia.com), the multple for a S$600k house is 6.25. (S$600k divided by S$96k based on S$8k monthly income ceiling). This is considered highly unaffordable by international standards. Go figure this.

siao ler.....now i'm wondering, are rich people actually live in condos or hdbs like THESE? obviously i can't even afford a studio there, let alone tiny chunk unit (1/2 bedroom) of the high rise ones.

They're the 'smarties'. They know that the govt always hand out goodies to hdb dwellers mah!

HDB has lost its vision and mission. To provide affordable quality flats for Singapore nationals.

So, is Pinnacle@Duxton public or private housing? So, is HDB public or private entity? So is HDB handing out goodies and huge subsidies to these RICH and SMART.

Five-room units start from $545,000 and go up to an eye-popping $646,000 for a 49th storey flat. There are also four-room flats up for grabs, which range in price from $457,000 to $555,000.

just remember there a Sub-prime in the USA same as in Singapore n it not cost that much to build a block . This is a crazy plan by the HDB. If at some point there a recession in SG n people being unemployed by the recession what happends to the loan .

Insurance companies also go Bust. n same for banks .....
