Mr Lim Yao Ho what a naive and greedy person you are. First thing first okay? If you cannot afford to have a child then forget it. Secondly, which company or employer is going to pay for all the expenses where your wife's baby is not theirs. Lastly,do not ask the govt to do stupid things like what you think is reasonable.

I hope there will be a day when these Singaporeans will stop asking the government to fund their child-rearing. Some of the responsibility, if not most of it, should come from the parents, who made the choice to have children.
