Yasmin Mohamed Idris: I salute you. I am glad that there are other Singaporeans on this forum like Elanor and you who do not harbour such bigoted views that taint the reputation of the silent majority of Singaporeans who are exercise the spirit of tolerance! :)

#3 Where did you think our "intolerance and racisim" came from?

Our parents and they got it from their parents. Our forefathers if they could afford to live in Serangoon Gardens would be even MORE xenophobic and racist.

Also, apathy isn't tolerance. The silent majority you cite couldn't care less. That's why there are silent. They have other more pressing matters to worry about then a bunch of foreign workers.

Why??? These are the reasons:

1) Go lucky plaza during weekend, check out if Sporean or FW are the one hitting on maids there... Why? Because they are lonely and they are human, so is natural for them to try their luck on maids, who are equally lonely here... One thing lead to the other, next thing u will see yr maid inviting him to yr place when no one home and compromise yr home security...

2) Who are most likely to steal? 1000 middle class sporean or 1000 FW with debt and family to feed back home???

3) Who are most likely to congregate at public places (parks & void deck) to drink? Where do they pee after drink?
