Ya lor, that clergy damn weird (wo)man...if you don't have a solid walk with God, it doesn't matter whether there is anyone who's going to tell you about his god anot la, you're still going to be led "astray" la. First focus on your own relationship with God la, then you can stand firm in your own beliefs without having to belittle others'.
The insanity of all organised religions and the madness of their followers are driving this world into anarchy. Even children at a tender age are already driven into this mindless divisions. Teens are drawn in at an early age and their minds are trapped in ignorance. Young working adults are frantically seeking organised religions to seek refuge and comfort instead of working out their problems sensibly.Married couples solve their problems and conflicts by embracing blindly out-dated and out-moded religious rituals and rites leaving their basic problems unsolved which will then evolve into major crises. Humanity is divided by organised religions on a massive scale. We are blinded by blind faith. We are enslaved by blind dogmas. We are blinded by religious leaders who are ignorant themselves.
We are cowed by fears, by our own anxieties and by our own ignorance. And we fight and kill in the name of our GOD. Sad.

Religions which have exceeded their useful date [best before date] will have to be discarded sooner or later. Some of them do more harm than good, isn't it?
From what I can gather here, it is the clergy, not their followers, who are apprehensive of inter-faith dialogue. The followers should ask themselves: WHY?
More likely the followers are apatheic to inter-faith dialogue mostly. Most Singaporeans don't talk about religion with their friends of other religions. Clergy on the other hand have their hands full with their own flock and dealing with the government and their superiors to realy bother dealing long term with other religions.
Accomodate too much with your own doctrine and you risk censure from your flock, peers and superiors. Stick too closely and you risk a firestorm that brings in everyone from the media to the government. Why else every inter religious dialogue is peppered with prepared script?
Grey. Mind enlightening me on what was that link supposed to accomplish? So a business leader has problems getting into a partnership with someone from another religion because she's worried about future directions and priorities.
Could you help illustrate the link between that and the topic your discussing?

Speaking and mixing with your 'enemies' can be rated as traitors, isn't it?
Many leaders in the Middle East were assassinated by their own kind [extremists] when they were seen dining, dancing or getting too agreeable with the 'enemies', isn't it?
