I am not sure but I suspect she has never been involved in the sports fraternity and as such, does not know the impact her untimely announcement has caused to the table tennis fraternity...

I just feel in my humble opinion that despite her high social status, she is not a good team player...

I also feel that such negative decision should be communicated to Mr Antony Lee personally or directly instead of through a third party, in this case the press media, I think...

Interestingly, can fellow posters comment on Gao Ning's performance? It seems that ST DB does not want to start a thread on him for fear that it will attract tons of negative posts...

The fear is definitely not unfounded. Personally, I think we have wasted a lot of tax payers' monies on him. He is one of the worst foreign-imported sports talent, who totally cannot perform (not to say deliver) without a coach. He had virtually given up his first Olympic match, losing 4 straight games to an unknown opponent in about 24 minutes because he was upset that his coach was absent (as reported in ST)...

Comments from fellow posters on this? ;)

Based on the facts from the papers it seems that 4 coaches were not sufficient as all were legitimately tied up at the same time. So someone has to play the game without a coach and unfortunately he has to be the one.
I have seen several competitors that played without coaches.

Anyone know the typical stereotype of a lady boss? - you all know the characteristics. bossy, hard as nails, intolerant, breach no dissent, etc. She will get a taste of the cyberspace, print, radio feedback. no hint of humility despite being a newbie. thinks she is all powerful, wants to show her authority and who is boss. Her MP status will be in danger next time round when the voters perceive her true colours.

Well, Mr Teo Ser Luck, its time for you to show that you can represent the youth and resolve this matter in a fair manner. Our respected ministers should help with this too. It doesnt seem like Ms Lee can perform her job well at the STTA, especially when sports is an area where respect and motivation are quintessential.

Isn't such decision should be made by a committee, instead of 1 person to have the final say? wonder what will the table tennis in Singapore become under her charge. Perhaps the person that should be removed is her...
