KUALA LUMPUR: A proposal to open the doors of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) to non-bumiputeras has sparked fierce criticism, protests and even a rebuke from the Malaysian government.
Nil competition? Fine, you will end up lacking even when compare to Kampuchea and Vietnam in due time. Time will tell whether to be isolated from competition will do you good or not?
Not sure any non-bumis would want to go to UiTM. Qantas planes in KLIA were serviced by graduates from UiTM. Btw, if the Malaysian government allows non-bumis into UiTM, it may let the cat out of the bag that the standard there is not that good afterall.
What is there to protect? Full of crappy quality Bumis. Even if you grad from that uni, what can you do besides working for lowly pay in Msia? If you are non-Bumis, make sure you equip your kids with skills or overseas degree , then make sure you leave Msia. Malaysia can only be compared to its friendly neightbour, Indonesia. Both ROTTEN.
