So in Mr. Khoo's point of view, trickery, outright lying (when the organizers proudly stated that tickets had been sold out) and demonstrating that looks are more important than ability in a singing event are all quite excusable.
If national day then ok lah... but in an event that cannot be more international, you do an unabashed "See how great China is!" thingy - of course people not shiok lah. The smallest chink and they will whack lor.
Like a friend, always ya ya and say how clever he is, how rich he is, how good he is... we got a chance sure whack one wat.
There are people who would pick up the slightest issue and blow it up. I guess it is envy. The western media will be to happy to take this opportunity to bash China.....fortunately not all westerners behave like that.
China's success story is the West's worst nightmare come true especially at a time when their democratic political model is being paralysed by inaction and their extreme capitalist economic model is coming apart.
Purely vindictive and totally uncalled for.China has given the world a good look at it's grandeur, power and glory. It put to shame the many countries who have been boycotting the Beijing Olympics for various selfish reasons of their own. It's THE BEST SHOW ON EARTH...no doubt about it. And people who cannot accept China's glory are bent to cast aspersions and sweat the small stuff to belittle China and to glorify themselves.Shameful.GO CHINA GO!!!
There is definitely something wrong with planting spectators to fill the seats. It is ok if no one wants to buy the tickets. But in the case of the Beijing Olympics, tickets have been in short supply, resulting in selling of tickets under the table. Since there is a demand for the tickets, planting spectators at the Games would deprive others of the tickets, others who were queuing up to buy the tickets but could not get them because some 'planted' spectators have conveniently occupied the 'empty' seats.
Besides, there is nothing wrong with reporting something that is not 'wrong'. It is called news.
