THE Straits Times you are reading has a new look. New fonts, new colours, a new masthead, a different mix of stories especially in Prime to showcase some of our best pieces.
I prefer the old look. Somehow, I think the colours and fonts for the new look give more emphasis on the ads than the news.
With the new look, the ads stand out more conspicuously than the news, IMO.
Seems to me that the new look is more of a means to please the advertisers rather than the readers. Could it be a way of raking in the advertising dollars?
When you look at comments from the ground, it is obvious nobody likes the new look. Yet they can still come up with stories like "readers give the thumbs up for the new look"!!! From where, one???!!!
Now these 2 pages are no more, and I can't find a central point where I can view news. I hate all the images and adverts and animations that scream out at you.
Please give us back the pages where news headlines are listed in friendly bullet points, and each headline clickable to its own page!
lots of bugs.
click Login from ST Forum and it directed me to AsiaOne whatever site.
even some of the headers of the news are displaying one line of .php language.
wonder is it just because ST wants to be part of the 8-8-08 tiny moments?
and i thought that a big company such as ST should have at least practicing ADDIE.
what's ADDIE? ask your programmers/IT people, my dear Editors of ST.Forum.
just give us back the old ones please. that will be working just fine with us.
