SINGAPORE is revamping its procreation policies and could be going the Swedish way, giving free childcare and paternity leave in a bid to get couples to have more babies.

Now then realised !! With that much surplus, of course Singapore can affort free childcare and more. If we are so desperate for children, then the gahmen should also food at least half the bill for delivery charges, plus medical expenses for children, which are so ridiculously high in SG !

what is scary to see is that the govt is supporting so much on the domestic workers and working women find it really hard to manage home and work when the benefits are all towards domestic workers and not employers. The recent new ruling MOM imposes is one good example. So now the maid happy come happy go...Come to SG for gd holiday lor!!

Don't even think of touching those surplus, somebody has to pay for it! Who's going to pay for all the free childcare, paternity leave etc?

All lip service. Expect garmen to give free childcare and paternity leave, wait long long. Who benefit? Foreign workers again. Betul.

Women gotta be blonde for this to work and actually enjoy being with husbands!!!! and from what I can see Singaporean women rather be stroking their Amex card and sitting behind wheel of fancy car than waste time with husbands!

People have said the same thing to garment abt paternity leave and child care for a loooong time. I wrote in to Feedback unit. They just do not see it until Sweden showed the way NOW.

So it is NOT only the sales service personnel in Singapore that give the ang mo better service and listen to them more - like in the I No Stupid movie. The true problem lies with the garment - they also listen to ang mo MORE than their own people. So how do you expect the sales & service person in the hotel and restaurants and shops to do when the leaders themselves are "Pinkerton" type?

BIG JOKE

Please list out all the U-turns [reversal of policies] made so far, and those U-turns still to come.

MIWs, you have 10 years to 2018 to improve on the art of governing to reduce the gap between the governed and govern.

If you fail, it will be RWYS.

You heard it folks! Right from the horse mouth! Looks like we may see the GST going up again to fund all these freebees.
